It starts with a letter--rolled parchment wrapped in silk, pink ribbon and your name etched in gold filigree. A fragrance that entices you no matter how many times you throw it away. Something about it calls to you. You can run from it, but it will keep coming back until you give in and open it. And then everything you know is gone. You wake up in the most comfortable furs you have ever been on. It’s as if you can’t even tell there is floor beneath you they are so thick and full. The sheets covering you are the softest silk and above your head, the tall canopy of the tent is made of pink and white sheer. Beyond that is the bluest sky with the brightest sun. Birds sing happily in the distance. It might be obvious then that you’re completely naked beneath the sheets. You move, try to get up. Just be careful. Someone else might be sleeping beside you and you wouldn’t want to wake them, would you? Once you step out of the tent you will be greeted by two beautiful Disciples dressed in very little clothing, but their less than modest apparel obviously doesn’t bother them. They smile and bow and offer to show you to your cottage. It is these servants that explain to you that you have been brought to Aphrodisias by the Great, Beautiful, Magnificent and Awe-Inspiring Aphrodite, Goddess of the Heart. Why have you been brought there? Oh, there's a pesky war going on and you maybe were picked to help save the world. It's no big deal really. How are you going to do that, you ask? With Love, of course. In whatever way works best for you. Just don’t think Aphrodite won’t be encouraging the kinds of Love she favors the most. This is the Island of Paradise, the Island of Love, and you are just what Aphrodite thinks the world needs more of. Aphrodisias Unbound is a structured, CR-focused small game with an 18+ playerbase. The focus of the game is building strong bonds, deep relationships, and sexual activities being heavily encouraged, as characters are pushed to love one another and express in positive ways to please Aphrodite. Many of the Greek and Roman myths are fictionalized versions taken from Hercules: The Legendary Journeys and other various canons. It will include light humor, some cracky events, and a side of darker things to come as the plot of the game progresses. In this game, characters will learn that Love really can save the world...if they let it. |
